Joining Trinity

You don’t have to join Trinity to attend, but we love welcoming new members and inviting newcomers to enter more fully into the life and ministry of the community.

How do I join?

We’d love for you to become a member of Trinity Church where you can grow spiritually, connect with a community of faith, and will be challenged to make a positive difference in the world. The standard process for joining is outlined below:

  • Contact the Pastor and set up a one-on-one meeting. Jon will talk with you about what you are looking for in a church and help you discern if Trinity is the right place for you.
  • Participate in a newcomer’s get-together. These gatherings are held once a month and provide seekers and newcomers the opportunity to see Trinity “from 5,000 feet” and ask questions about the life and work of the community.
  • Attend our Anglican Basics class in the fall (usually in October) and learn about the theology, liturgy, and history of the Anglican/Episcopal church and about how to get involved in the life and work of Trinity. If you’re not confirmed, consider joining a confirmation class in the Spring and being confirmed by our Bishop.

  • Participate in a Trinity welcoming service where you will be officially recognized as a member of the community. Welcoming services occur three Sundays a year on All Saints’ Sunday (Sunday in November closest to November 1st), Easter Sunday, and Trinity Sunday (the exact date of Trinity Sunday varies from year to year. It falls on May 22nd in 2016)

You are welcome at Trinity Church!
